This morning, our landline rang with someone on the other end claiming to be from BT, insisting there had been some dodgy activity linked to our broadband connection. They warned that our service could be terminated within a day or two. They wanted me to hit 1 to speak with a representative, but instinctively, I thought it sounded too fishy, so I ended the call. Now I'm left pondering whether my internet will actually go down. I've got a hunch it won't come to that.

This morning, our home phone rang right after a call from 01443 435913, which I've seen flagged here as dodgy. The caller was warning about some supposed illegal stuff linked to our internet and said they'd cut it off in a day or two. If you press 1 to get help, you end up speaking to a lady with a strong Chinese accent who asks if you own any smartphones and tells you to download an app from the App Store. I couldn’t really catch what she was saying, and when I asked if she felt bad tricking people or if she'd do the same to her family, she just hung up!
