Lately, there’s been a rise in phone calls pretending to be from Amazon. They often say your Amazon Prime needs renewing or that your account is in danger of being shut down. Then they ask for your credit card details as some sort of initial payment, which is when they catch people out. These calls have nothing to do with Amazon. So, never give out your personal, account, or bank details if you get unexpected calls, texts or emails. Also, don’t click on any links or attachments from unknown messages. They’re just using Amazon’s name to trick folks!

Got a robo call claiming my Amazon Prime account was hacked and that they’d taken £99.99 from my bank. Sounded dodgy to me.
