So, my missus got a phone call from this number, and the bloke on the other end claimed he was from BT saying our internet would be cut off today. We’d never had any word from BT about this, so my missus quickly called him out as a scam and hung up. I rang BT just now, and they told me everything’s fine with our account - no disconnections or problems at all. My wife then tried calling the number back, but all she got was a message saying it doesn’t accept incoming calls. Definitely sounds dodgy to me!
