Reports on phone number 01256789993
10 yearsI received a rather troubling call on behalf of IT INNOVATIONS, originating from the number 1256789993. They contacted my grandfather, claiming to have detected that his computer was underperforming - which, admittedly, it was - due to an excess of spam. They proceeded to guide him through a series of pop-up prompts, claiming to help him assess the spam situation. He saw that his system had accumulated a staggering 1188 spam notifications, and they instructed him to delete them. While he’s a bit fuzzy on the details of navigating his computer, he’s confident he didn’t access his email or any login pages. Following the deletion, the caller encouraged him to log into his bank account to process a payment of £160 for their ‘services’. Obliging, my grandfather clicked on the pop-up that appeared, at which point the scammer insisted he click 'ok'. Alarmingly, the caller then purported to gain access to his bank account page, misled him into believing he had funds of £900, which they intended to deduct the fee from. When my grandfather informed him that he wasn’t aware of such a balance and that he had actually overdrawn, the man abruptly cut the call. I’ve already alerted the police, and the bank has been notified as well. To add to that, we’ve had a computer technician come round to thoroughly examine the device and cleanse it of any potential threats or remnants from this unfortunate incident.IT INNOVATIONS12 yearsWhat a scam! They were trying to swindle me out of cash by claiming they were from Microsoft and attempting to gain access to my computer. Absolute nonsense!Microsoft13 yearsI received a call from a gentleman speaking with an Indian accent, claiming he was representing Microsoft. He insisted that my computer was infected with a virus or some spyware. Quite persistently, he rang me multiple times. However, each time, I simply ended the conversation...MicrosoftSubmit Your Own Report (01256 789993)
