Got a call from 01256 588553 on 2nd March at about 9.05 in the morning. My mobile automatically blocked it thinking it was suspicious. After checking out the reviews here, I’m pretty relieved it didn’t go through.

i got a call from some lot saying they were from sky or sommat, but when i told em we aint got sky, he got really rude. he started saying it was about a service contract on our tv tho. i told him we don’t even own a telly and then he got all snappy, saying it’d cost us to end this contract we supposedly have. asked him for his number and the details about the telly he reckons we insured. then he just hung up right on me. what a muppet.

I received a call today from someone purporting to be Marshall with Sky Maintenance. However, it was evident that this was not a genuine representative from Sky. For starters, I don’t even have a Sky account. So, it’s quite suspicious why they would be reaching out to me. Sounds like it could very well be a scam!

This person said they were from Sky and got quite pushy about my contract running out for some repair work. When I asked them to send all the info in the post first, they threatened I'd regret it because the repair would cost £69.00. I’m pretty sure this isn’t actually Sky calling.

I received a rather dubious call from an individual purporting to be associated with Sky Assurance. They seemed to know our monthly insurance premiums-how they managed that, I have no idea. It felt like an overseas call to me, so I decided to end the conversation immediately! Best to be cautious, if you ask me!

I received a rather suspicious call from someone purporting to be from Virgin - amusingly, I'm not actually a customer of theirs. The caller claimed that as of May 1st, Virgin and Sky had merged, and went on to assert that my devices were at risk of being hacked (as if that’s not a daily concern!). He insisted I had an issue that needed addressing. In a rather cheeky twist, I conceded that I indeed had a problem - and that it was him! After a brief pause, he abruptly terminated the call. How peculiar!

I received a rather dodgy call from someone with an Asian accent, stating they were from Sky, trying to sell me a renewal contract for maintenance on all my television gear, remotes, and the like. What raised alarm bells was the fact they had my name, my address, and even the first number of my debit card. Oddly enough, they didn’t make any moves to get into my computer. I decided to engage with them for a bit until they eventually ended the call. Quite the experience!
