My mother-in-law got a call from this number and she didn't trust it, so she phoned them back. They said they were from her internet company, but something felt off.

Got a call from 01256 35871 earlier, some bloke on the line talking about Microsoft Windows, but their English was really bad. When I said I suspected it was a scam and warned them I'd contact the police, they just hung up straight away. Watch out for these kinds of dodgy calls!

Got a call early today from someone claiming to be with TalkTalk, saying my router was having issues and offering a free upgrade plus 3 months of free broadband. I told them I was tied up and would ring back later, but they said it was a special Christmas deal and I had to take it right then. I checked with TalkTalk myself and turns out it was a total scam.

I got a call on my home phone from someone saying they were from TalkTalk, some guy named Alex, maybe? The connection was really rubbish, so I just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from my internet company, said it was TalkTalk even tho I don’t use them anymore, that they saw some nasty stuff going on with my computer. They said if I turned it on they’d guide me through fixing it. The bloke had a posh English name but spoke with an Asian accent. When I asked how he could show me anything if he wasn’t in the same place, he just hung up. Seems to me they wanted to get remote access to my computer and probably grabbed my info from some TalkTalk data leak.
