2 yearsI had a rather peculiar call from a chap claiming to be 'Adam', who spoke with a distinctly Asian accent and said he was part of BT's accounts team. He informed me I'd been singled out as a loyal customer for a generous 35% discount on my bill, shared only with a couple of others in my locality. Strangely enough, he mentioned my postcode right off the bat (and even knew my name!). Naturally, I refrained from confirming any details and let him know I had a firm policy against dishing out personal information to anyone who might be trying to scam me. Not to mention, I haven't been with BT for nearly twenty years! He continued insisting he didn’t need my information and merely wanted to send me a letter.
