I’ve got a private landline and often get these sketchy calls. You can tell they’re dodgy straightaway because there’s this weird clicking sound in the background but no one actually talking. I probably get like two scam calls daily, and it’s doing my head in. I’m always having to block the numbers just to keep it quiet.

I got a call from someone claiming to be from Visa, but it felt fishy like a scam to me.

I got a call from this number claiming to be Sky, telling me my broadband connection wasn’t up to scratch. I cut them off quickly to say my internet was fine, and then they just ended the call. I could hear someone shouting loudly in the background at some point during the call, which felt really dodgy. Seems like it was a scam to me.
