Got a call from someone saying they were from Microsoft, talking about issues with my PC. When I began to question them, they quickly turned nasty and started being quite rude.

My mum and dad got a call from someone pretending to be from Domestic and General, saying they were owed a refund on their home insurance for their appliances. They knew their full names, birthdates, and even what appliances they had, which was pretty scary. Luckily, my folks were smart enough not to give out their bank details and saw straight through the scam.
