As soon as I answered, a woman’s voice just said goodbye, and then the call dropped straight away.

She called me, saying I’d paid too much for my electrical appliance insurance and that I was owed £149. She mentioned I’d get a letter to confirm it, but asked if I still used the same bank card. I told her I couldn’t even afford a washing machine, and that I wash my clothes in a bucket and take them down to the river when it’s warm. After a while, I got fed up pretending to be interested and told her off in no uncertain terms to sort herself out.
