I keep getting calls from this number saying there's something wrong with my router and telling me to turn on my computer. Ive blocked them so many times but after a while, they somehow manage to call me again. Total scam if you ask me!

Keeps ringing but never bothers to leave any message. Quite annoying really.

Got a call on my work line from an Indian lady talking about some global hack. I told her I thought only the NHS got hit, and she insisted it was everyone. Then she just ended the call. Weird.

Got a call earlier from 01255507779. A lady called Anna claiming to be from TalkTalk, warning me my computer was in danger. I told her how funny it was she called right then because the technician was standing right there. She just hung up straight away!

I had a chat with a TalkTalk rep outside the local supermarket concerning the incessant calls I've been receiving from this number-I'd say it's no less than three times daily. He suggested that I give TalkTalk a bell, as they can block such nuisance numbers. However, it appears TalkTalk doesn't reach out to customers; they just wait for us to contact them if there's an issue. It's baffling, really, as these clueless calls tend to come in at the same times each day!

I got cut off as soon as I asked them to give their name and number. The call came from mobile 01255507779 but it looks like BT removed it, showing as number 1572 now.

Got a call from a woman named Gladys, claiming to be from TalkTalk, saying my computer had some new virus. She offered to fix it remotely but wanted my card info. I refused to give it. When I asked if she was legit, she got really rude, shouted some horrible swear words at me, then just cut the call. Proper dodgy!

After doing a quick search on the number while it was ringing, I stumbled upon several remarks about it. Honestly, like so many other unsolicited calls I receive, I tend to ignore them since it feels like they’re just a bunch of time-wasting scam artists. I really wish Ofcom would take action and impose fines on TalkTalk and BT for this nonsense. It’s absolutely ridiculous at this point!

Got a typical scam call today but my BT call guardian caught it straight away - honestly, best thing I’ve spent my cash on! It’s the only thing that actually blocks these annoying calls. Since I use a corded phone, it buzzes once and then silence, pure joy! I used to get bombarded with maybe 15 calls weekly, sometimes loads in just one day, but now it’s pretty much gone. What a relief!

I just received a call from this number. A woman introduced herself as Jenny from Talk Talk and claimed they’d found some malware on my Talk Talk connection. She insisted I switch on my computer. I told her to hold on for a moment, then tossed the phone into a drawer and strolled away! I suppose as long as she was chatting with me, she wasn’t pestering someone else.

Got a ring from this number saying they were from TalkTalk. I decided to mess about and asked how she knew I was having trouble, like how could she tell if my computer was even on? She got really annoyed and kept saying she was just here to help. Yeah, sure. Obviously, I just ended the call.

Had a call from someone claiming to be with Talk Talk saying they found malware on my computer. She told me to hit the 'Windows' key and the 'R' key together on my laptop. I wasn't buying it, so I just cut the call straight away.

Give the phone a pick up, but refrain from uttering a word. You'll notice the caller repeatedly greeting you with 'hello' until they eventually terminate the call. Let's hope they take the hint this time!

These days, I only answer calls from numbers I actually know. A random number called me, but as soon as my voicemail activated, they promptly disconnected.

Got a call from this number earlier. Some woman said her name was Jenny and said she was calling from Talk Talk. She claimed there was malware found on my internet connection with them. She wanted me to switch on my computer. I told her to hang on a moment, then just popped the phone in a drawer and wandered away! Thought that while she was tied up with me she wasn’t pestering anyone else.

I've just had a rather alarming phone call from someone claiming to be from TalkTalk. When I inquired about my account number, they actually had it on hand - quite concerning, if you ask me! The caller rattled on about my internet being cut off, to which I responded that I don't even own a computer. I soon realised it was a scam, so I promptly ended the conversation. I can see how someone who isn’t as sceptical might fall for such a ruse!

One thing that always gives them away is how unlike any person I know they sound, plus these long awkward pauses before they speak. It's funny how much you can hear over an old landline. I even got one of my students to mess up her cello playing on purpose to scare them off, and yet they still kept the call going for ages - like over 30 seconds! Honestly, I just can't imagine how they don’t feel bad about themselves when they wake up.

Received a call from this number today. We've got a brilliant BT handset that filters out unknown callers, but anyone keen to chat simply needs to state their name for us to decide whether to pick up or not. These callers, however, failed to identify themselves but their attempt was logged. I would highly suggest that everyone invests in a call-blocking phone like ours; we used to endure around ten scam calls daily. Ever since we got this phone eight months back, we've been fortunate enough not to receive a single pesky call.

I've been getting calls on weekends, up to 8 times a day, from a woman with an Indian accent who says her name is Pamala and claims to be from Talk Talk. It's really annoying, what are they doing to stop this?

I got a call but they hung up right when I picked up. It's so annoying, why is this even allowed? I'm sitting here waiting on some news about my mate who's really unwell in hospital.

Total scam from TalkTalk. Honestly, BT as the phone company should get slammed with huge fines for stuff like this, otherwise it’s gonna keep happening nonstop.

I got a call from a lady claiming her name was Maria, sounded like she was from India. Just as she was about to start her usual scam routine, I cut in and asked if her mum and dad were still around and if she cared about them. She said she loved them a lot, then I went on to ask how she'd feel if someone took money off her parents. She just ended the call right there!

Got a call from this number, and my daughter picked up, but then the line suddenly dropped. I rang back since it showed as a landline, and a bloke answered saying he didn’t call me, really insisted on it. Bit odd since the number popped up on 1471 as his. Strange situation.

I received a call supposedly from TalkTalk, but I decided to throw her off her game right from the start. I asked her if her parents were still around and expressed my concern for their well-being. When she affirmed her affection for them, I posed a rather pointed question about what she'd think if anyone attempted to swindle them out of their savings. Surprisingly, she didn’t stick around for a response and hung up! It's clear to me that this caller is just one of many attempting to gain access to personal information while masquerading as a security representative from TalkTalk.

Just like I said before, I told the person on the phone, who had an Indian accent, that they’d reached the local police station. They didn’t stay on the line much longer after that! Honestly, you lot should try it too!

Another one of those tech scams, just like before. They keep ringing from different numbers, saying they'll check your internet connection. They say they're from TalkTalk, but I haven't been with them for more than a year now. Don't fall for it, it's definitely a con!

I saw it was a UK number but it was actually coming from abroad, so I just didn’t pick up. Definitely felt like a bit of a scam to me.
