Got a call earlier from 01255507779. A lady called Anna claiming to be from TalkTalk, warning me my computer was in danger. I told her how funny it was she called right then because the technician was standing right there. She just hung up straight away!

I had a chat with a TalkTalk rep just outside the shops about how often I get calls from this same number - easily three times a day. He told me to contact TalkTalk themselves since they can block these numbers. Funny thing is, TalkTalk won’t call you; they expect you to get in touch if there’s an issue. It’s daft really, because these nuisances always call at the exact same times every day. Can’t these clowns be any more clueless?

Got a call from a woman named Gladys, claiming to be from TalkTalk, saying my computer had some new virus. She offered to fix it remotely but wanted my card info. I refused to give it. When I asked if she was legit, she got really rude, shouted some horrible swear words at me, then just cut the call. Proper dodgy!

Just as the number was showing up on my phone, I quickly googled it and found loads of similar complaints. Honestly, most of these random calls are just time-wasting scams or annoying telemarketers, so I usually just ignore them. It’d be great if Ofcom actually did something and slapped fines on companies like TalkTalk and BT - it’s ridiculous how they let this go on.

Got a typical scam call today but my BT call guardian caught it straight away - honestly, best thing I’ve spent my cash on! It’s the only thing that actually blocks these annoying calls. Since I use a corded phone, it buzzes once and then silence, pure joy! I used to get bombarded with maybe 15 calls weekly, sometimes loads in just one day, but now it’s pretty much gone. What a relief!

Got a call from this number earlier, some woman saying her name was Jenny and she was from Talk Talk. She was telling me there was malware on my internet connection with them. She wanted me to switch on my computer right away. I told her to hold on a moment, then just popped the phone in a drawer and walked away. Thought at least while she was chatting to me, she wasn’t pestering anyone else.

Had a call from someone claiming to be with Talk Talk saying they found malware on my computer. She told me to hit the 'Windows' key and the 'R' key together on my laptop. I wasn't buying it, so I just cut the call straight away.

I just got a call from someone claiming to be from TalkTalk as well. When I asked for my account number, they actually had it, which was a bit unsettling! The caller then started talking about my internet being cut off, but I told them I don’t even own a computer and said it sounded like a scam before hanging up. One thing that always gives them away is how unlike any person I know they sound, plus these long awkward pauses before they speak. It's funny how much you can hear over an old landline. I even got one of my students to mess up her cello playing on purpose to scare them off, and yet they still kept the call going for ages - like over 30 seconds! Honestly, I just can't imagine how they don’t feel bad about themselves when they wake up.

Today, this number rang me. My BT phone is great because it stops calls from people who don’t say who they are. If someone wants to chat, they have to say their name first, and then you decide if you want to take the call or not. These callers never said who they were, although I could see they tried. Honestly, everyone should get one of these phones with call blocking. We used to get like 10 scam calls every day, but ever since I got this phone about eight months back, not a single annoying call has come through.

I got a call from a lady claiming her name was Maria, sounded like she was from India. Just as she was about to start her usual scam routine, I cut in and asked if her mum and dad were still around and if she cared about them. She said she loved them a lot, then I went on to ask how she'd feel if someone took money off her parents. She just ended the call right there!

Somebody rang me pretending to be from TalkTalk. Just as she was about to start her usual scam spiel, I stopped her and asked if her mum and dad were still around and if she actually cared about them. When she said she loved them loads, I asked how she'd react if someone tried nicking money from them. She went silent and then blanked me! Pretty sure this was just another trick by those scammers posing as TalkTalk security to get hold of personal internet info.
