It seemed like a call from V4 Telecom, but the guy also said he was from "Frank". He knew all my BT account info, like the extra services I pay for. He kept telling me I’d get a much cheaper line rental, but only admitted it meant changing providers when I pressed him. What’s the deal with this number popping up as an International Call when its area code is Clacton-on-Sea in the UK? I picked up the phone and the caller simply hung up. These irritating calls plague me at all hours - day, night, weekends, you name it, even on bank holidays. It’s absolutely ridiculous! To tackle this, I've invested in a BT8500 Advance call blocker. Now, when one of those nuisance calls comes through, I just dive into the menu and hit the block option. Problem sorted!

They rang me up earlier today - cheers for the feedback. They tried getting me to switch to some v4 plan cheaper but it only covered phone and internet. Problem is, Ive got a tv with talk talk too, which is a whole other nightmare. Honestly, these companies really need to quit forcing these long contracts and rising fees, specially when most of their stuff hardly ever gets used. It’s proper frustrating.

Upon answering this call, I was met with silence as they hung up. Curiosity led me to dial 1471 to uncover the identity of the number, but instead of choosing option 3 to return the call, I opted to input the number directly. Alas, I was greeted with a beep and a rather annoying message stating the number was unrecognised. I've managed to refrain from using 1471 and option 3 to try and connect. Is this a ploy to tempt unsuspecting folks into racking up charges on their calls? What other reason could there be for a number to go unrecognised upon dialling back? With these irritating nuisances, I often remind them they are violating data protection laws by retaining my information without my consent. This tends to throw a spanner in their works for a bit.

Got a call from a guy who sounded asian on a saturday arvo. He knew my name straight away and wanted to double check my address. Then he started saying i’d be switched to some cheap phone & internet deal cause i was a pensioner and apparently didnt use my phone much. When i asked who he was, he just said frank. I asked again where he was calling from, and he just stuck with the name frank. He kept going on about me being on virgin at first, then bt. Total load of rubbish. Proper scam if you ask me.
