Got a voicemail from them asking me to ring them back, but honestly, I’m not planning on doing that.

I got a call from 01255 411156 the other day, and it turned out to be one of those HMRC scams. They left a voicemail claiming I owed around £4000 in unpaid tax from 2014 to 2016. When I rang them back, they started threatening to send officers to my home within half an hour. I explained that I wasn’t even working during those years, so couldn’t owe any tax. The man on the phone, who had a South Asian accent, seemed a bit flustered and kept going on about arresting me within 30 minutes. After I didn’t fall for it, he just disconnected the call. Proper dodgy!

Got a call from 01255 411156 where some bloke said he was Mark from HMRC, accusing me of tax fraud. Turned out to be a scam. The number was blocked after I reported it to the cops. Stay alert!
