7 yearsGot a voicemail from someone pretending to be the HMRC saying I was involved in tax fraud. What muppets!HMRC7 yearsReceived a voicemail asking me to return a call. Not holding my breath for that!7 yearsI received a rather dubious call from the number 01255 411156, which, it turns out, is linked to a rather unsavoury HMRC scam operation. They left me a rather alarming voicemail, so I thought it prudent to return the call. What followed was a far-fetched tale of owing nearly £4000 in income tax for the years 2014 to 2016, which I evidently was in arrears for. They went on about sending officers to my residence within half an hour, which was utterly preposterous. When I pointed out that I had no tax obligations during that period, the chap on the line-who I gathered had a South Asian accent-became quite flustered before resorting to more threats, suggesting arrest was imminent. Of course, when that tactic fell flat, he simply hung up. Such blatant fraud! - Caller: HMRC ScammerHMRCCallerHMRC Scammer7 yearsI received a dodgy call from a chap claiming to be Officer Mark from HMRC on 01255 411156. He was going on about me being involved in some sort of tax fraud. Total scam! I've blocked the number now and reported it to the police. Stay vigilant!MarkHMRCSubmit Your Own Report (01255 411156)
