I got a call from this number, a woman called Abbi wanted to talk to my missus. When I asked what it was regarding, she mentioned some sort of payout for mis-sold PPI. After passing the phone to my wife, Abbi started rattling off a couple of addresses that neither of us have lived at - one was my late parents' old home (they've both passed away) and the other was a place I owned and stayed in back in the 80s but sold decades ago. I didn’t bother with it, just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

A couple of days back, I got a call from this lot. They acted like they already knew I’d sorted out a PPI claim before. They claimed I was owed around £2000. The weird thing was, they had all my info, including my name and full address. They asked me to give a yes over the phone to move forward. I told them to send me the paperwork through the post first, then they just cut the call. Lesson learnt: if it comes out of nowhere, it’s probably dodgy! Stay careful folks!

I got a call from these guys just yesterday, and they said they were linked to Help Your Claim, a company I dealt with a few years back. Right after, my phone rang two more times from the same number but I didn’t pick up and I went ahead and blocked it.

Some bloke called saying he was from the tax refund office, went by Peter or summat. I told him straight up it was a scam and put the phone down. Then, the same number called me back right away… I just ignored it. I reckon you’ve just gotta be wary of these calls. If I needed info, I’d look it up on my own. That’s my two pence.
