I got a ring from an unidentified number, and when I picked up, there was absolute silence. I thought better of returning the call since it might be a dodgy scammer.

I just had a call from this number on my mobile. When I answered, there was no one on the line. I could make out some faint background sounds, like a computer beeping and a few voices chatting away in the distance. I decided it was best to hang up and block the number from contacting me in the future - any idea who this could be?

I recently received a rather peculiar phone call from this number. When I picked up, I could hear a bloke chattering away in the background, but on my end, there was just the sound of someone breathing heavily. Oddly enough, no one actually spoke to me directly before they hung up. Curious, I attempted to return the call only to be greeted by a robotic voice saying, "The individual at extension 999 is currently unavailable. Please leave a message after the beep." How original... I'm planning to report this strange occurrence to my local constabulary. The chief is a good mate of mine, and I reckon he’d jump at the chance to look into the origins of this mysterious call and find out who’s behind it. - caller: 01254 929862
