For years, I've had loads of dodgy calls claiming to be from O2. My advice? Never share any info about your O2 account or bank details with them. Honestly, the best move is just to ignore their calls altogether, then block and report the numbers. My mobile still gets these nuisance calls, but since I hooked up a call blocker on my landline, I haven't had a single scam call through there. It's made such a difference!

Got a call from a lady who sounded like she was from Asia, saying she was with O2. When I asked her to prove it, she quickly ended the call.

I usually just ignore calls from numbers I don’t know, and after seeing what others have said, I’m really happy I keep doing that.

My phone rang yesterday from a number I didn’t recognise. I ignored it and there wasn’t any voicemail or message left. Feels like it was probably a scam.

Got a text claiming to be from O2 with a one-time pin, supposedly to help with a forgotten username. They send the code to your phone, but honestly, never share it with anyone or keep replying unless you’re Paddington Bear himself. Such a dodgy scam!

Somebody with a thick Asian accent called claiming to be from O2, sounded dodgy to me so I just ended the call.

They claimed to be ringing from "your mobile service provider," yet whenever I inquired about the specific network, he sidestepped my question. The more I pressed for clarification on which network he represented, he abruptly instructed me to "be quiet." Best to steer clear of these types!

I got a call from someone pretending to be O2, claiming I could get 40% off my monthly bill. My phone warned me it was probably spam. When the caller said it was from O2 and offered the discount, I immediately said it sounded like a scam. He said alright and just hung up. Right then, I also got a text from O2 with a security code I never requested. Apparently, these fraudsters make O2 send you this code and try to fool you into handing it over so they can hack your account. Watch out for this trick!

Got a call from an O2 number, but the lady on the line sounded Indian and it felt off. Just blocked the number straight away. Another scam for sure.

Today (10th March 23) I got a call at around 3.30pm from 01254922645. I have no idea who this could be, and there’s no reason anyone I know would ring me from that number. So, I just ignored it.

That was definitely a scam, nothing legit about it.

Got a call from someone saying they were with EE, pushing a SIM only offer for £3 that supposedly included unlimited texts, calls, and data, plus free roaming abroad and the first couple of months free. When I messed about a bit and gave him the contact info for Paddington Bear instead, he didn’t seem too pleased!

They tried to pass off as O2 but it was totally a scam. Went ahead and blocked the number and reported it straight away. Definitely watch out for these dodgy calls!

It was clearly a call centre on the other end, the bloke had a thick accent or something I couldn't quite catch. I just nicely said no thanks to that dodgy guy and ended the call straight away.

Got a call from someone with a really strong Asian accent claiming they were with O2. As soon as I told them I’m not with O2, they just cut the call straight away. Was gonna tell them they’re scams but didn’t get the chance!

Some woman rang me out of the blue, said she was calling from O2 and had a deal to cut my bill. I just chuckled and ended the call. Definitely sounded like a scam to me.

Got a call claiming to be from 3. When I asked how they were allowed to call me under GDPR, the person just kinda shrugged and said, “What do you want me to do?” I asked nicely for my number to be taken off their list, and all I got was laughter. Told them I’d report them and they just said, “Fine, go ahead then.” Quite cheeky if you ask me.
