I quickly went to check with Experian just to ensure there wasn’t any chance of identity theft, but there's no record of any credit inquiries against my name-complete and utter farce! I initially mistook their number for a local contact I was waiting for, and when I challenged their ludicrous assertions, the caller became quite irate. I've now blocked that number!
