You won't believe this, but I received a call from someone claiming they were giving away a 'complimentary' device to help cut down on nuisance calls! I decided to let him ramble on without cutting him off until he asked for my bank details. When I questioned him, he insisted it was just to 'sign me up', despite the fact it was supposedly free of charge. I hung up on him straight after. I've already signed up with the Telephone Preference Service, yet it doesn’t seem to have any real effect.
