You won't believe it, but the person on the phone was trying to give me a 'free' gadget to stop nuisance calls! I just let him go on and on until he got to the bit where he asked for my bank details. When I asked why he needed them, he told me it was needed to 'sign me up' even though the device was supposedly free. I just hung up then. I'm already on the TPS list, but honestly, it doesn't seem to help much.
