I've received seven calls from this number today alone! I picked up on the first attempt, and they claimed to be inquiring about some business premises I had just acquired (the call went to my work mobile, and I literally only set my business up the previous day). Now, my phone is labelling it as a scam, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number. Quite the nuisance, if you ask me!

Got a call from someone saying they were from Virgin Media, saying my internet was hacked and they were fixing it. Then they started asking tons of questions about how I use my computer. They didn’t give any proper info, so in the end I told them to stop wasting my time trying to scam me.

Someone rang claiming to be from BT Reach sayin my internet had been hacked from overseas. I told her I spoke to BT not long ago and they never said anything was wrong, so why is she calling now? She wanted me to give details of a phone or laptop to fix the issue herself. When I wouldn't share any info, she snapped at me with "Listen here now!" in a rude voice. I just ended the call as she kept on being aggressive.

TOTAL SCAMMERS. They pretended to be from Virgin Media and told me my VPN had a security problem. Tried to get me to log onto my computer. I kept them talking for around 12 mins before they said they’d ring me again later ("But what about the security risk? Surely that can’t wait?"). Managed to get "passed on" to the "manager" when I kept messing with the scammer.

When I looked up the number, it turned out to be linked to some dodgy furniture firm. Honestly, don’t get caught out, just hang up and verify yourself!

I told her ‘no there isn’t’ and she goes ‘well you’re not a tech expert, how would you know?’ I said ‘funny you say that, I actually am a computer engineer.’ She just hung up. I’m gettin so fed up with these scams, there’s one nearly every day on me home line, which is through Virgin Media. I received a call from a bloke claiming to be from my internet service provider. He had a very pronounced Asian accent and wanted me to switch on my computer to verify the internet speed. I outright declined, using some proper stiff upper lip, if you catch my drift! My phone’s got a feature that keeps the robots at bay, so I’m convinced it was a genuine human.

I just received a call from 01254791360. A chap on the line claimed to be from Virgin Media, which is rather amusing since they are indeed my service provider. Here’s how our little exchange went down: Him: Good evening, madam. I’m contacting you as we’ve detected an alert in our system indicating that someone overseas is attempting to breach your computer for nefarious purposes. Me: Isn’t that the very thing you’re trying to do right now?! Him: Pardon? Me: Aren’t you about to ask me to allow you access to my computer? Him: Oh no, madam, you certainly don’t need to provide us access to your computer. Me: Right then. So what is it that you actually want me to do? Him: Please go to your computer, and I’ll guide you through the steps. Me: Do you honestly think I’m that gullible?! Initially, I received a call from an anonymous number, with a chap claiming to be Simon, a Senior Manager from Liverpool Victoria. He was discussing a review of my life insurance policy, which, by the way, I actually hold with them. He seemed to have details about the premium I'm paying and the total value of my policy. After that, he put me through to a lady who purported to be from UK Life Insurance. I felt uneasy and decided to hang up. He then attempted to reach me three times again from that private number, and when I didn’t pick up, this number rang me instead. When I asked about his location, he mentioned London, yet the call came from a Blackburn number. I've now blocked the number.

01254 791360 called me, and when I questioned their purpose, they started being rude. Really wish authorities could track these numbers down and take legal action against them.

Beware of a scam on bank holiday Monday claiming to be Citizens Advice. They ask for personal info then BLOCK you once you share it. Stay safe!

This number rang me a couple of times, so I picked up. They asked for a name but I couldn’t quite catch it, then she said it was some debt collection firm and needed to talk to the person. I told her my number’s on the TPS list, then she just hung up on me!! Proper scam call! You’d think being on TPS would stop this but nope, still lots of these calls!

They keep ringing me from loads of different numbers. Today these lot claimed to be from some credit investigation place, with an Indian accent, trying to get info out of me. Told them I don’t owe any money and asked them to stop calling. As soon as I said that, they just hung up. This is the third time they’ve called today. I keep blocking them but they just ring back on a new number! Watch out for these calls!

Somebody rang me saying they were from the Credit Investigation office on a bank holiday Monday! I just quickly put the phone down and have blocked the number now.

Got a call from 01254 791360, said it was UK housing, but this number’s from Blackburn and I’m up here in Scotland. Decided to block and opt out of their calls, didn’t fancy it.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from citizen advice, already knew my first name. Looked up the number and turns out it was a scammer. They kept asking if I owed any money. This was on a bank holiday too. The person spoke with an Indian accent.
