I received a call from a woman representing an energy company, and when I politely requested that she delete my number from their records, she abruptly hung up on me.

Hey everyone, has anyone actually picked up when this number rings? I've got a couple of missed calls from it recently. Feels like a telemarketer or some sort of automatic call centre bot checking if my line's active. I never pick up unless I know who's calling and they didn't bother leaving a voicemail either. Had a quick search online to find something about them but came up empty. Anyone got a clue who could be behind this?

Some bloke named Martin rang me claiming he was from an energy firm, but he never said which one. He insisted it wasn’t a cold call and just wanted to check if I was the homeowner. When I told him I wasn’t, he just hung up straightaway. Feels like a dodgy cold call or scam to me.
