I receive incessant calls from foreign-sounding scammers multiple times a day, all regarding my Virgin and Sky box subscription. It’s clear they’re just after my bank information! 😡🔒 I’ve blocked the numbers, yet they persistently ring through. It's becoming utterly maddening!

I received a call from a woman claiming that our Virgin Media box would become obsolete in a week's time, and that they would be dispatching a new one due to significant upgrades happening in our locality. She also mentioned that our monthly bill would be lowered, considering we are retired. What struck me was how she seemed to have our personal details, including our name and address. All she required from me were our bank details to adjust the direct debit. It raised a few alarms, to say the least!

I received a phone call around 11:14 this morning from Sky, letting me know they were updating their set-top boxes because of some issues they’ve been encountering. When I tried to ring back at 11:30, I was met with an answering machine. Shortly after that, I had a curious call from HSBC, inquiring if I’d experienced any difficulties with my online banking. Coincidentally, the caller was apparently from Sky as well? Odd, isn’t it?

I wasn't familiar with this phone number, so I chose not to pick up the call. They left no voicemail either. Honestly, if nobody engages with them, they’ll probably tire of trying quite quickly.
