I got a call from someone named Steven Rush claiming to be with BT Internet, saying my broadband speed was too slow. He asked me to go on Google and run a speed test, which came back really low. Then he said I could get a free upgrade and passed me over to an engineer called Mark. Before I spoke to Mark properly, I looked up the number and asked what company he was actually from. Mark said it was BT Internet, but when I told him the number didn’t show up as BT on the 'Who Called Me' site, he just hung up on me quite abruptly.
