scam alert! got a recorded message supposedly from bt saying my internet would be disconnected today unless i pressed 1 to stop it or 2 to continue. i’m actually with virgin media, and since i'd read about similar scams, i just ended the call. then called virgin media directly to double check, and they confirmed they’d not called me. blocked the number straight away and thought i'd warn others. never share your account info or payment details to any unsolicited phone calls unless you’ve dialled the number yourself!
