Got a robo call saying my Amazon Prime will be renewed automatically for £39.99, and if I wanted to cancel, to press 1. The voice was eerily like the one I usually get in calls from Visa. I didn’t press anything, instead got the number shown on 1471, but when I tried calling it back, the number didn’t even go through.

Just a heads up, this sounds really dodgy and defo worth reporting to Action Fraud. People have already lost serious cash, like £400k or something, from this scam. Got a recorded call pretending to be from Amazon Prime, saying there’s a monthly charge of $39.99 for a subscription renewal. Do NOT press 1 to talk to them - I ignored it and just ended the call straight away. What’s worse, they’re ringing our landline even though it’s on the TPS list and we never shared it with Amazon at all. Stay safe, peeps!
