11 yearsGot a call from 01254 56389 claiming to be from TalkTalk, said something about speeding up my router. Total scam, I just ended the call straight away.TalkTalk11 yearsI received two calls from this number. The first time, I didn't answer, and they left no voicemail. On the second occasion, the caller claimed to be from TalkTalk, trying to address some so-called error messages on my router. They referenced a TalkTalk account number, which I couldn't verify at the time, and insisted I log onto my computer so they could 'demonstrate' something. I turned them down and decided to investigate the number online, only to find numerous warnings about it being linked to scam attempts. I consider this behaviour to be criminal, as they are clearly trying to gain an advantage through deceit-basically, fraud. Consequently, I have reported the matter to West Yorkshire Police, TalkTalk, and the UK’s Action Fraud service.TalkTalkWest Yorkshire PoliceUKAction Fraud11 yearsToday, 19/9/15, I've received a couple of calls, both from men who claimed to be from TALK TALK but used different names. The numbers were 011214151617 and 0125456389. There was also a woman involved somehow. I told them flat out they weren’t really from TALK TALK, but they just ignored me and kept calling anyway.11 yearsI informed them that I possess a password that I share with the TalkTalk technicians. This seemed to irritate them, and they ended the call abruptly.11 yearsGot a call claiming to be from TalkTalk, but it was a total con. They tried setting up a fake account through Western Union Bank. I ended up cancelling my debit card after getting suspicious and double-checking. Later, Western Union themselves rang back to confirm it was a scam. They kept telling me I'd get a refund from TalkTalk and a new modem too. Those callers were super convincing though. Best to just ignore and not bother with them.TalkTalkWestern Union BankWestern Union11 yearsAnswerd the call then they just hung up, seemed like it was from nearby at first.
