I got a call from someone with an Asian accent who asked for me by name. I didn’t say a word though, just stayed quiet. In the background, there was loads of laughing and shouting, then they ended the call right away. Pretty sure my son had a few calls from these same folks too.

If you get calls from scammers, make sure you tell both the ICO and OFCOM. Silent or abandoned calls should definitely be reported to OFCOM too. These spammy callers probably don’t care about comments here, but the moment you report them to OFCOM or ICO, they start to take notice. It really only takes a minute or two to do it, so why not?

I got a random call from some bloke pushing a free pension review, saying it was from a government audit site or some such. Seemed dodgy straight away, so I asked what firm he was with. He said something like Smart Review. I looked them up and guess what? No record of that company anywhere. Pretty obvious it was a scam!

Got a call from a number, left it to go to voicemail but the message got cut off. Then the exact same number phoned my mobile straight away. After that, it rang my landline once more but I just let it ring out. If they bother me again, they won’t be happy - I’m basically a nightmare for call centres!

Honestly, if they bother again, they’re in for a shock - I’m the absolute nightmare every call centre dreads!

So I got a call where they claimed it wasn’t a sales pitch, but then straight away started asking about my pensions. I’m with Super Ann Pension, which works fine for me, but then the bloke assumed I was married, asked about my husband’s pensions and if he was free to chat! I’ve blocked the number now since he said he’d ring back later to speak with him. Honestly, what a nerve!

I received a call today from someone who not only knew my name but also my address, which was rather unsettling. They were quite pushy about having my pension reviewed for what they claimed was optimal performance. They tried to persuade me to have a courier come over to handle some paperwork, but I firmly declined, stating that I preferred to do my own research and would reach out to them later. This didn’t sit well with them, and after a brief goodbye, I ended the call. After doing a bit of digging online, I discovered it was a total scam.

I got a call from this number today (8/12/16) about checking my pension info. I told them I already have a pension advisor, and the guy goes "yeah, I know that," then asked if I still live at my address. He even repeated my full address back to me. When I said I wasn’t interested and mentioned I’d report them, he got really tersely. I just told him to take me off their calling list and hung up.
