Since I picked up a call earlier today, I've been inundated with no fewer than 20 different calls from unfamiliar numbers-this one being just another example. My partner has done a bit of sleuthing and attempted to return a few of the calls, only to find that they’re all flagged as spam or potentially harmful by his app. Interestingly, they appear to be marked as safe on this site. I feel it’s important to give others a heads-up about this situation!

So rude! I asked to speak to the person in charge of utilities and energy savings, and told him we don’t take cold calls at this company anymore. He said he wasn’t cold calling, so I asked if he had a contact name or any appointment arranged. He said no, so obviously it was a cold call. Then he tried to claim our meter readings weren’t up to date, but I repeated that this was a cold call. He shouted “IT'S NOT!” and said he’d call back later. Got around eight calls the last few days from this number and 0800 356544. They keep going on about our electricity meter being 'off register' or somethin'. JUST SO YOU KNOW: with the new GDPR laws that started TODAY, you've got the "right to be forgotten". Say that exact phrase to them and they should stop bothering you, otherwise they risk a fine of €20 million or 4% of their yearly income. Make sure you use your rights (at least until Brexit happens, then this rubbish will kick off all over again).

Some woman named Sharon rang me from 01254 470953 saying she was from the Registration Dept, claiming our meter contract had expired. When I asked where they got that info, she said they gather details from all the electric suppliers like EOn, SSE and the rest - total nonsense if you ask me. She kept pressing to get more details about us but I wouldn’t give anything away. She mentioned we could renew our contract with them, said the company was called Power For Business or maybe Power 4 Business, can't be sure! Already flagged them with the TPS as well.

Received a call from a woman named Sharon using the number 01254 470953, claiming to represent the Registration department due to our meter supposedly being out of contract (which isn’t the case). When I inquired about the source of that information, she mentioned they obtain data from various electricity suppliers like E.On and SSE. She persistently attempted to pry more details about us but was met with silence on my end. According to her, we could supposedly renew our contract via their service, and the company's name was either Power For Business or possibly Power 4 Business. I’ll be reporting this number to the Telephone Preference Service as well - caller number: 01254 470953.

Sounds like a scam to me. They've rung our office, which is actually my home address, three times already today. We've nicely asked them to stop phoning us. Also got a call from 03333445329. The bloke claimed my number is on some database. I guess our details are being shared without permission. I told him about the new GDPR rules kicking in next week and said it’s probably not smart for him to keep doing what he’s doing.

Properly annoying. Got 8 calls within 15 minutes. When I asked what it was about, they just kept firing questions at me, so I ended the call. Then they rang back moaning that I hung up before they could explain, but never actually said why they were calling in the first place. I ended it again. After that, at least 6 more calls came in which I didn't pick up. Plus, there was a couple more earlier today and one the day before.

Yesterday, I received a spate of calls from this company. I finally answered one today, and to begin with, the gentleman on the line seemed quite amicable. However, upon informing him that my landlord manages the utilities, he claimed that the landlord had provided them with my contact details. This struck me as odd, and when I questioned it, he was adamant about where he sourced my information from. Then, to my astonishment, he became quite hostile when I requested that they erase my number from their records. His response was that he wouldn’t comply, insisting that he obtained my details from my landlord. I firmly reiterated my demand for my information to be removed, which only made him more aggressive - he actually shouted at me! I can handle myself, but I couldn't help but think how frightening this must be for an elderly or vulnerable individual. Plus, we have already opted out with the telephone preference service. Absolutely appalled!

They claimed to be from the energy company and wanted to verify the date and provider of my contract renewal. Got 7 calls yesterday and 3 already today! Whenever i ask them to send the details by post or email, they just cut the call! Honestly feels like harassment at this point!

Eventually, I just hung up on them. Their attitude can be quite brash, especially when I make it clear that we’re not interested in any sales pitches and won’t divulge any business details.
