After a brief respite from this irritating trend, I foolishly picked up the phone to one such call. The voice on the other end belonged to a woman with an Asian accent, possibly Indian or Pakistani, who was rattling off information at a pace that was utterly dizzying. She claimed to be calling regarding a 'review' of my insurance policy. Despite my insistence that I wasn’t in need of any assistance with my policy, she continued to press on. Eventually, I feigned difficulty in hearing her and asked her to repeat herself multiple times.
