Just happened to me too, and the mad part is I’m actually a Virgin customer. They called saying my BT broadband was about to get cut off, same old story as others. I called the number back, chose option one to talk to a tech, and the guy starts going on about my IP being hacked in loads of countries and needing to ‘fix’ my laptop. I told him, “Hang on, I’m not with BT, mate, I’m with Virgin,” and he just hung up on me. Total scam, watch out everyone!

Got a recorded message saying my internet’s been hacked and if I don’t call back this number, they’ll disconnect me. Feels like one of those dodgy scams straight away.

I just got a call from a robotic lady warning me that my IP address was hacked in loads of countries and that my internet would be cut off in a day. Seems like a scam to me, trying to trick folks into calling back and ending up paying crazy high phone charges.
