About a decade back, I told a market researcher a random old family title when they called, as I was a bit iffy about it. Now, anytime someone rings from Blackburn and wants that name, I know it’s a dodgy call. Plus, we hardly ever get American accents round here.

They couldn't even say my last name right and kept pestering me to verify my address and name. Ended up hanging up and blocking them straight away.

Then it sounded like the call was being routed overseas, so I just ended it straight away. This number has popped up a few times before, always near the same time in the evening. I've blocked it now and would recommend others do the same to avoid the hassle.
