I received a rather dodgy call earlier from someone claiming to be from Amazon, insisting that they needed to process a payment for the automatic renewal of my Prime membership. I’ve since blocked the number!

Someone called saying they were from Amazon, saying my Prime had ended and there was a big fee for delivery. They asked me to press buttons and give info to sort it out. I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

I keep getting loads of calls from beneficial, always from different numbers. They block each number as soon as they use it, but somehow they still manage to get through. Saying no or that I’m not interested doesn’t seem to stop them at all.

Reading the comments here, I just decided to block the number cause I tried unsubscribing on their website but honestly, no idea how they even got my info to begin with (bit dodgy with GDPR, maybe?). Plus, the site isn’t secure at all and they want loads of info like my postcode. Safer to just block, if you ask me!

Some Indian bloke said his name was John, said he was from Beneficial or something, gave me a dodgy postcode and then asked for mine. When I asked what he wanted, he just ended the call. Added him to the blocked list now.

Got a call from an Indian lady who knew my name, then after a long quiet pause, I just said "you’re blocked" and hung up on her straight away!

Really pushy sales calls, always trying to sell you insurance, charity donations, or home services. They ask weird stuff like what brand your fridge or washing machine is, if you’re married, how old you are, how much you earn, and so on. You can try visiting their site ([#]beneficialopinions[###]/) to opt out and stop the calls, but not sure if that actually does anything.
