Got a call from 01254360249 on 19th April 2022. As soon as I picked up, the line went dead. From what I can gather, it looks like some sort of phone scam.

Got a call from a woman who said her name was Lilly, sounded like she was in some call centre. Definitely not ringing from Blackburn, even though the number showed as local around here. These lot use some kind of tech that fakes their number to look like it’s nearby. Tried ringing back but it just wouldn’t connect. Pretty sure they’ve got a system to mess with the caller ID.

Got a text from BT_SMS saying there was a request to switch my service on 01254 202244. Said there might be fees involved and gave a number to call, 0800 1690620, if I wanted to talk. Bit suspicious to me, seems like one of those phishing attempts.

I've had a couple of missed calls from this particular number. Curiously, when I tried to call it back, I was greeted by a voicemail message informing me that I had reached an incorrect number. Quite odd, isn’t it?

I got a call like that too, said I had £4400 waiting, but then they asked me to pay cash upfront for the solicitor who was supposed to ring me back.

I picked up the phone and they just hung up right away. When I tried ringing back, an automated voice told me it was a wrong number. Bit odd, really.

Some automated voice called me, saying my IP was being hacked everywhere and to call a number to fix it. I ended the call before they even told me the number.
