I suspect this number might be linked to some sort of autodialer system that's trying to identify which phone users are currently engaged. When someone picks up, it signals that they are indeed an active user. From there, it wouldn't surprise me if they offloaded your number to a range of businesses, leading to an avalanche of unsolicited calls-perhaps even as many as 20 a day! But, of course, that’s just my theory.

I keep getting calls from loads of numbers beginning with 01254 360, but none of them ever leave a voicemail. Since none of these numbers are saved in my contacts, I've ended up blocking all of them. Seems like a possible scam to me.

I got a call from a number that said it was a beauty salon in Blackburn, but when I picked up, there was dead silence on the other end and then they just hung up. Weird experience.
