Just got a strange message saying my account’s overdue and I need to send £108.42 to ace.co.uk/pay or ring them to sort it out. I don’t have a clue who they are. I looked up Ace and it’s a real company, but I’ve emailed them to check if this text is legit or some sort of scam.

Got some calls and texts saying an overdue payment is due for someone named Margaret Cooper. Didn't catch my name at all, just hers like with a few others. Pretty sure it's a mix up.

I often get calls from the Ace catalogue's accounts team, mostly about late payments or unsettled debts. Interestingly, this same number is linked with Studio24 catalogue, which is a mail order service too. Like a lot of these mail order firms, they run under various brand names but are really just branches of one larger company. So yeah, Ace and Studio24 are both part of that umbrella company.

somehow they managed to ring me when i was tied up so i never got what it was about, tried calling them back but just got an automated message. must be one of those spam calls and i reckon ringing back like i just did will end up costing loads. best to stick with numbers you’re familiar with lol
