When I mentioned I was signed up to the cold calling register and asked him to delete my details, he started hurling a barrage of foul language at me. It was quite shocking! After I ended the call, he had the audacity to ring back, pretending to represent the Telephone Preference Service, only to launch into more abuse. Honestly, I've never encountered anything like it before. Thankfully, I've just signed up with BT 1572 and managed to block the number. They asked for my date of birth "to make sure the cheque gets to the right person." I told them they already had the correct name, address and phone number from earlier and questioned why else they needed my DOB.
