I recently received a missed call from these clowns (Tuesday, 15th December at 12:50). Naturally, after witnessing this, the last thing we'd want to do is return the call. Has anyone else from the list mentioned above thought about reporting it to the authorities? Since it's a landline number, I reckon it shouldn’t be too tricky for them to trace. Cheers, Tony.

I've been receiving calls from this number, apparently trying to gather credit card details to process a refund of £59.99 for some card protection I've been mistakenly overcharged for over the past six weeks. Quite suspicious if you ask me!

So, my partner received a call on his mobile, but now they’re insisting on that we provide our account details over the phone before they'll send out any claim pack. It’s all a bit dodgy, if you ask me-definitely not something I’d want to get involved with! The oddest part was when Brad mentioned that we wouldn’t be eligible for a refund, yet suggested we call back if we have a change of heart! Quite the nonsense, really!

I received a call on the 15th of December, 2009, around quarter to one, but thankfully my phone was on silent, so I didn't answer it. I've only just got a new phone from Orange, and I found out about this online. It's got us curious about when someone might have been dishing out these new numbers.

I've encountered the same behaviour as before. They're after card details and become quite unpleasant when you refuse. I've gone ahead and added this number to my blocked list. It's worth noting that I only obtained this number on Saturday after having to change our phone number due to a series of nuisance calls. Do you reckon we'll need to change our number once more?

I received a call from this number, claiming that I’m entitled to a refund of £59.99 due to an overpayment on some payment protection plan - which I’ve never even had! When I asked the woman on the line for more details, she abruptly hung up on me. It's wise to be cautious; don't provide any personal information!

I recently received a call from this number, but they hung up before I could answer. When I tried to return the call, the individuals on the other end were rather unhelpful and refused to disclose any details about their inquiry. Exercise caution!

Earlier today at 2:22 PM, I received a missed call from this number. Fortunately, we didn’t answer it.

Once again, a caller from this number has contacted our mobile, and as soon as we answered, they promptly disconnected! Initially, we thought it might be work-related or something urgent, so we tried returning the call. After a handful of attempted redials, we were met with an unusual recorded message stating, “Apologies, I’m currently occupied, but your call will be answered shortly.” We hung about for what felt like an eternity-about five seconds, in reality-before giving up and placing the phone down. Decided to do a bit of digging on Google, and now I won’t be wasting another moment on these con artists!

Delighted to see the feedback! Received a similar call, and it was from O2.

We received a call from these individuals while we were at school, but didn’t pick up. It rang a bell for us, reminding us of a similar experience we had in the past. They claimed they were returning money and mentioned something about a game, but they were after our personal information. The line was a bit fuzzy, so we decided it was best to hang up.

I've had the same experience. Received a chilly call from these jokers. Every time we attempted to get in touch again, they just hung up on us! It’s rather frustrating, isn’t it?

Earlier today, we received a call from these individuals who seemed to be after our banking details, much like what others have shared. We politely declined to provide any information, and to make matters worse, the caller referred to us as ‘love’ and insisted that we should return their call! It’s difficult to comprehend the audacity of these people!

I just had a chat with Co regarding how these folks obtain their phone numbers. Apparently, they enter the first five digits of a number, like 07950, into a system, and a computer then fills in the rest. When calls are made from these generated numbers, they're recorded as legitimate and subsequently added to their calling lists. This company is supposedly in the business of helping people reclaim mis-sold PPI, but it all sounds rather dodgy to me!

My fiancée received a missed call from this number and when she returned the call, she was told about a supposed refund for PPI payments that she apparently shouldn’t have paid in the first place. When she pressed them for specifics about the insurance in question, they said it was related to her mobile phone. They then asked for her bank details, which she wisely declined to provide, insisting that they should contact her again at a later time. The caller claimed to be with Greenacre based in Blackpool, but frankly, it sounded like a scam that’s been unfolding for several weeks now!

I received a call from this number and the person on the other end mentioned something that was quite baffling. Before we could make sense of it, they just hung up.
