Told her to take my number off it, but I doubt that’ll happen :-(

(My number's on the TPS list too) The guy claimed he was from DVLA and MOD about some damage to my car from around 2.5 years back. I asked him where he got my info since I’ve never had any accidents (honestly). After a bit of chatting, I just ended the call and blocked the number. Every time I do a car insurance quote online, even though I’m careful not to be added to any promo lists, within days I’m flooded with calls like this.

I got a call from someone who knew my name and said it was about damage to my car within the past couple of years. When I told her I had no clue what she meant, she went on asking about other people living with me. I just ended the call. My number is on the do not call list.

Received a call from someone claiming to be from Direct Response legal, saying they were partnering with the Motor Insurance Bureau. They asked about a crash I was involved in and mentioned I had some unclaimed funds. I asked them where they got my info from, as my insurer wouldn’t just give it out thanks to GDPR rules. I told the guy I work in telecoms and would be checking this out, he suddenly sounded a bit shaky. I ended the call politely saying thanks and bye.

She said they'd take my details off their system. Honestly, not sure I trust that!
