Has anyone else had dealings with ACI - Asset Collections and Investigations out of Blackpool? Just wondering if they’re legit or dodgy because they rang me but I’m not sure who they really are. Probably some debt collectors or something but can’t find much online about them. If anyone’s got experiences please share!

I received a call from this number earlier today, but they didn’t bother to leave a message. As I'm disabled, I can’t always reach the phone in time or even locate it when it rings. I rely on my answerphone for messages, and if no message is recorded, I tend not to ring back.

Someone rang me looking for my husband, but I had a hard time making out what he was saying. Whenever I asked who he was, all I got was "okay" in reply. I just hung up and blocked the number after that.

This was definitely a con, no doubt about it.

They’ve rung me two times but since I use BT Guardian, they didn’t say who they were. I called them back with my number hidden. The person on the other end introduced the place with an English accent, said it was ACI. I got connected but the call quality was rubbish. When I asked who they were, they just repeated ACI. Said it stands for asset claims and investment or something. I never gave my name. Then I asked where they were based, they claimed South Africa. Strange thing is, I’d dialled a UK number but they answered with a clear South African accent. Feels like a total scam to me.

Got a call from some financial firm, sounded dodgy - definitely a bank scam trying to pull a fast one.

Phone showed it might be spam so I just ignored it and blocked it right away. Didn’t even pick up.

They kept ringing me but when I tried to call back the number, there was no dial tone at all.

Got a call from an Indian lady who started asking about my finances and then wanted my bank info plus date of birth. Bit suspicious if you ask me.
