I had a really similar experience. A company called 360 Publications in Preston passed me on to some debt collection agency. Honestly, 360 Publications are complete rubbish. They sent out leaflets for a nearby kids play area, but none of the brochures ever actually reached anyone. I ended up paying over £400 to 360 Publications, but then they hit me with a bill for £738. I've got nothing to show for it. Then, just a day after I received the invoice, they already started chasing me for the “debt”. Ridiculous!

I had a chat with someone called Becka Cartmell who told me I owed £360 for some publications. Then, out of nowhere, I received an invoice a year and a day after I agreed to be featured in a Velocity Trampoline Park advert booklet. It took like 7 months before the brochures actually showed up. I’d signed up for a two-year deal and was assured it wouldn’t begin until the leaflets were properly handed out. Honestly, this company is an absolute nightmare.

I got a call about commercial debt collection supposedly from some internet marketing gurus and staffbenefits{###]. They were trying to squeeze cash from small businesses, but I couldn’t find them anywhere on the FCA register or with the financial ombudsman. Don’t hand over any money, just report them to Action Fraud and get the coppers involved.
