It seems that some individuals were asking for our mum, but as luck would have it, she wasn’t around at the time. They suggested we get in touch with her at the number 01253 503611 or something along those lines? Quite peculiar, to say the least!

I received a missed call from a mobile number the other day, and shortly after, there was another missed call from 01253503500. Does anyone know who's behind this number and what their intentions might be? I'm quite curious to find out!

Give this a whirl for a bit of amusement-dial 141 before their number, then switch your phone to silent mode and enjoy the chaos! It’s payback time-only do this when you’ve got a spare moment and the landline calls aren't costing you a penny, naturally. These characters might finally realise just how exasperating it feels-if more folks ring them up and leave them in awkward silence, we could potentially drive these pests to the wall. Let’s show them who’s boss! Cheers, ALPHAMAN!

Have a laugh with this little trick-dial 141 then their number, followed by switching your phone to anonymous mode and enjoy their discomfort as they scratch their heads! It’s time for a bit of retribution-just make sure you have a spare moment and only ring those landline numbers when it won’t cost you a penny. These callers need to understand just how irritating it can be-if more of us call them back and keep quiet, we might just drive those muppets to ruin. LET’S TAKE A STAND! Cheers, ALPHAMAN.

We find this rather concerning. The fact that we can't ring the number back and hear even a busy tone feels off. We reached out to tax credits to check if there were any records of these individuals attempting to contact us, but there’s absolutely nothing logged in their system. They mentioned there should have been an entry if these callers had tried to get in touch. Exercise caution, and avoid sharing any personal details unless you're completely certain about who you're dealing with!

We answered the phone and a lady asked to speak to us directly by name. I can’t quite recall the moment we lost the signal or if there’s a fault with the line, but the call got cut off. When we tried to ring back, it didn’t even ring - just a dead tone. We reside in the Fylde area, but we don’t receive any tax credits.

Indeed, it’s related to tax credits in Blackpool. I just received a missed call from a mate who’s employed in that area.

I found this number, 01253 503 500, linked to the claims department that manages both new and existing claims for working and family tax credit. It appears to be legitimate. However, I must warn you that their system frequently encounters error messages and can even present a perpetual dial tone, giving the impression that the number isn’t valid. If you persist, though, you should eventually get through. Just keep dialling!

I spent the entire afternoon out and came back to find a mountain of missed calls - it was just like yesterday! What a nuisance! Not a single message was left, and tallying it all up, that's a whopping nine calls I missed. Tried ringing them back, but what a surprise - the number doesn’t exist! By the way, does anyone know if Blackpool tax credits has anything at all to do with Surrey? Do these folk operate nationwide or something? It's absolutely baffling!

Indeed, tax credits are available in Blackpool. We verified this information by contacting Revenue and Customs at 0845 300 3900 shortly after receiving a call from that number. Initially, I was apprehensive about sharing any personal details with the caller, but it appears to be legitimate.

I received a couple of missed calls from this number but when I tried to ring back, I encountered a prompt saying it wasn’t a recognised number - no message left or anything. Quite peculiar, isn’t it?

I received three missed calls from this number. I wonder if they're related to tax credits or something similar? Sounds like a right hassle with these sorts of calls!

It's the helpline for tax credits, where you can find out if you've updated any changes in your situation lately.

This number has nothing to do with tax credits, as we've referred to them. We rang up to verify it wasn’t on their contact list, and when we tried to call back, it turned out to be an unassigned number. Furthermore, the closest tax credits office to Blackpool is situated in Preston; there’s no local office in Blackpool itself. The tax credits team suggested that we disregard this number entirely, so we think it's wise for others to do the same as well.

Blimey, what on earth? We’re in class, and suddenly we receive calls from this number! Then we get a message saying “missed call.” Who on earth is trying to get in touch with us?
