Hands down the poorest scam call I’ve come across so far. The bloke had a thick Asian accent and claimed to be from Microsoft. I decided to play along and asked what kind of scam he was trying to run this time. That’s when he lost it and called me a b####. He insisted that he understood what TPS was and claimed he wasn't trying to sell me anything. I pointed out that I hadn't provided my number nor granted permission for such a call, and further mentioned that I don't even own a computer. At this, he got increasingly aggressive, questioning my statement with remarks like, "What do you mean you don’t own a computer?" and asserting there was a computer linked to my address. In the end, after I held my ground, he abruptly ended the call.

I just had a rather unsettling phone call from a chap identifying himself as Michael Roy, claiming he was calling from Reading. He rattled off a licence number and a load of other so-called details. I decided to hang up, only for him to ring me back from four different numbers, demanding to know why I kept cutting him off. He got quite aggressive, raising his voice, so I firmly told him to cease the shouting. He then insisted I hop onto my computer to search for some info. We’ve since unplugged our landline in response to this entire ordeal.

Since they contact me on my landline, I have no way to see who's calling beforehand. I received a rather curious phone call from someone identifying herself as Christine Smith. She claimed to be from Microsoft and insisted that my computer had been compromised. What struck me as odd, though, was her Asian accent, which didn't quite match her name. She had my address as well as what she claimed was my licence number, making her sound quite credible. She even asserted that she was calling from their office at Reading Business Park and provided a complete postal address. However, the landline she used had a Blackpool area code, which raised quite a few red flags for me!

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent who introduced himself as Dan. He claimed he was calling about a computer at my home and even got my address spot on. Since I've got a laptop in for fixing right now, I figured it might be legit. But the moment I acknowledged it, he just cut me off. Turns out, the whole computer thing had nothing to do with the repair, pure bad luck. Pretty creepy how he already knew where I lived.
