Just got a fresh phone number that was never used before. I gave it out only on driving instructor websites and suddenly I’m getting loads of scam calls and texts. First, there were texts from EE saying I owe some bills, but they don’t even use my name in the messages. All our accounts are under my husband’s name and he’s never missed a payment. Next thing, calls from ACI debt collectors, but I’m totally clear of any debts.

Got a call from a woman claiming I could get a 45% discount, sounded dodgy to me. I ended the call, but she kept ringing back. Definitely felt a bit fishy!

So this ACI lot keeps on calling me about some debt I supposedly owe. They just won’t quit, ringing me non stop. Honestly, it’s driving me mad because I don’t even owe them a penny! They act like a proper debt collection agency but it’s just silly how often they bother me.

Debt collectors using AI seem to have loads of numbers that all look pretty much the same. Everytime I block one, another number that’s almost identical pops up calling me again. It’s super annoying how they just keep coming back with these similar numbers.

I’ve been getting calls from various numbers around Blackpool and Skipton, like +44 1253 386412, +44 1756 691127, +44 1253 386404, and +44 333 053 0185. Each time, there’s an automated message saying to ring back (01253) 531528 to speak with a case manager about my options. They mention their office hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 8pm, and Saturdays from 9am to 1pm. They also stress it’s not a sales or marketing call. Bit annoying tbh, but just thought I’d share in case anyone else is getting the same.
