I got a call from someone saying I could pay for my data through them, saying it’d be £5 a month for unlimited. It sounded fishy since they claimed to be EE but my phone’s actually with O2, so I figured it was a scam.

My Samsung phone’s Hiya call block thing stopped a call I didn’t even get to answer. Not sure why exactly it blocked but I’m guessing it was a dodgy call since it came from Blackpool and I’ve got no ties there or reasons for anyone from that area to ring me. This happened around 5:31pm on Friday 23rd May 2025.

Samsung Hiya Call Blocking stopped the call straight away, not sure why exactly but I guessed it was probably a scam. I don’t live anywhere close to Blackpool and have no connections there, so no idea why anyone from there would ring me.
