“Is that the individual in charge of the business?” “Would you be open to taking on additional tasks?” Naturally, we found it quite amusing, anticipating the next part where they'd mention, “We have folks trawling our online directory for catering services, and for a small fee, I could link you up with them.” While we chuckled at the situation, these callers abruptly hung up on us. When we tried to ring them back, they outright declined to reveal who they were associated with.

Received a call from someone touting “Page 1” listings for search engines. When I asked if I was speaking to the business owner and if they could take on more work, we couldn’t help but chuckle because we could almost predict the next part. Sure enough, they mentioned having folks searching on their “internet website” for caterers and proposed connecting us-of course, for a fee. Just as we were enjoying a good laugh over it, the caller abruptly hung up on us and when we tried to ring back, they wouldn’t disclose who they were. Quite the cheeky operation!
