Got a call from some American lady recording saying my BT internet line was going to get cut off today because there was something dodgy happening in California. Trouble is, I don't even have BT as my internet provider, so I just ended the call there. Guess I'll just watch and see if my internet actually drops... pretty sure this was just a scam.

My phone went off and I got this automated American voice sayin’ my BT internet would be cut off today due to some suspicious stuff happening in San Francisco. Thing is, I don’t even get my internet from BT, so I just ended the call right there. I’ll keep an eye on my connection to see if it actually goes down… pretty sure it’s a scam though.

Got a call pretending to be from BT broadband, but with an American accent - fishy right? I quickly googled the number and found it on a blacklist. Isn’t there a way to put a stop to these scams? Just got one of those automated calls like others mentioned, saying BT account’s been taken over and it’ll be cut off soon.
