Received a call from someone with an American accent, asserting that my BT line had been hacked and suggesting a different provider. Quite clearly a scam attempt. I've flagged this to the ICO. Got a call from some American lady recording saying my BT internet line was going to get cut off today because there was something dodgy happening in California. Trouble is, I don't even have BT as my internet provider, so I just ended the call there. Guess I'll just watch and see if my internet actually drops... pretty sure this was just a scam.

My phone just rang and, much to my surprise, I was greeted by an American voice on the line claiming that my BT internet connection was set to be cut off today due to some supposed dodgy activity out in San Francisco. However, seeing as I don’t even get my internet from BT, I promptly hung up. Now, I guess I’ll just sit tight and see if my internet decides to take a nosedive… I have a strong feeling this is nothing but a scam!

I got a missed call from this number on my voicemail, but it didn't leave any message. I don't know anyone around Blackpool, so I'm pretty sure it's just some unwanted call.

Got a call today and I answered, but there was nothing on the other end, just silence. Then suddenly they just ended the call. Feels like some sort of automated number verification thing. Honestly, it's super irritating and a right pain in the neck.

3rd April 2018 I just received a call from this number. It was a pre-recorded message delivered in an American accent, claiming to be from BT. Just got one of those automated calls like others mentioned, saying BT account’s been taken over and it’ll be cut off soon.
