I received a call this evening where they mentioned some problems with our internet connection that they'd picked up on. However, they couldn’t actually tell me who my provider was. It felt a bit off, to be honest.

I've had like three calls today from people pretending to be my bank, but they're just scammers trying it on.

Got a voicemail from someone pretending to be from my bank’s security team, saying there was some suspicious activity - two charges, one for £100 and another for £1100, and to press 1 if I didn’t recognise them. I just hung up straight away. Honestly, don’t fall for this rubbish. If anyone calls claiming to be from a bank or finance company, I always say I don’t talk about money stuff over the phone, especially from an unexpected call. Make sure you jot down their info and get in touch with your bank yourself to check.

Watch out, could be a scam! Some guy with an accent that sounded like he was from East Asia called, saying there was an issue with our internet and he’d fix it shortly. Luckily my missus just hung up straight away.
