Got a spam call from a company claiming to do boiler upgrades last week. I politely told them to buzz off and remove my number from their database. They rang again today but I missed it, which was probably a good thing - I was just getting out of my car alone and would’ve given them a piece of my mind for sure.

they keep phoning me like 5 times a day pretending to be from some utility registration place, asking about my manager. after a quick search online, i found the business stopped trading back in 2019. total scam. i told the caller their company closed ages ago and loads of people have flagged it as a scam online. fingers crossed they leave me be now. if not, im gonna report them to the fraud action folks :0)

Got a call from someone claiming to be from utility wise, saying they wanted to sign up a new tenant for my meter. When i told them I didn’t need that, they said “oh, I see you’re moving out at the end of the month”. The only place they could’ve got that info was from my facebook, and I’ve told no one about it. As soon as I mentioned that, they just dropped the call.

Loads of missed calls from this number. When I finally picked up, they started saying stuff only someone who’d looked at my Facebook could know. When I asked how they knew, they just hung up on me. At the start, they said they were from some ‘utility firm’ about a new rental. Stay clear of these people!

Got 17 missed calls in under two hours. Ended up speaking to two different people who couldn’t say what company they were calling from or explain why. When I asked what info they had on me, they got my address wrong - though close - and mixed up my first name and surname. The name they mentioned is just the one I use on Facebook. Once I told them all their info seemed to be straight from Facebook, they just hung up. Hopefully that’s the last of it, but I still have no idea who they were or what they wanted!

i cant get them to quit ringing me, loads of numbers all saying they’re from different energy providers i’ve never heard of. they all use the same spiel and won’t take me off their call list even when i tell them to, which must break data protection laws. def not legit at all.
