2 monthsFirst off, they asked "are you there?" then just stayed quiet for a few moments! If I'd said "yes", which thankfully I didn’t, they might have recorded it for some dodgy voice verification to target me financially. He said he was David from some ‘windows and doors’ company, but I’m certain that name was fake - it was just some AI scam trying to fool me. These scammers use loads of similar phone numbers, so it’s best to block every single one. Don’t engage with these tricksters, or they’ll drain your accounts and leave you struggling with debt!David2 monthsGot a call from someone claiming to be from Apple, saying they were from iCloud and asked for my credit card info. Obviously a scam, so I’ve blocked the number.AppleiCloud2 monthsGot a call from someone saying they were from the local electricity company asking to speak to the householder. Told them it was a business number and they had the wrong contact. They just carried on with some spiel about government grants in the area and whatnot. Had to keep interrupting to say it’s a business phone. After a while, gave up and ended the call because he just wouldn’t stop talking or listen. Number’s been blocked now.2 monthsI don’t bother picking up when this number rings. They never say anything or leave a voicemail. Feels like a scam related to energy or maybe some dodgy insulation deal.2 monthsGot one of those calls again. They start with "Hello, can you hear me?" then nothing, just quiet for nearly a minute. After that, they say "Alright, thanks for your time" and hang up. This happens loads, from different numbers every time. It’s usually the same bloke, claiming to be "one of your local energy advisors." Yeah right, sure!Submit Your Own Report (01253 226799)
