They kept demandin my bank info, real pushy on the call. You could hear a noisy office in the background the whole time.

Absolute SCAMMERS, steer clear of them! They were trying to get my bank info, proper dodgy. Wish people weren’t so shady, their attitude is just foul. Best to give them a wide berth.

This call came all the way from the UK and it was obviously a scam trying to trick me into handing over my bank info. Such a dodgy move!

A woman who said her name was Nicky rang me, claiming it was a courtesy call to inform me our windows needed changing, which they don’t. She mentioned a firm based in Warrington but was calling from a Blackpool dialling code. I told her to stop calling us again.

Got a call about replacing a conservatory roof. The whole thing felt a bit off, they kept asking if my husband was around over and over. When I asked why that was important and said I wasn’t comfortable with how it was going, the person just ended the call.

Some woman claiming to be from Warranty Northwest called, telling me the warranty on my windows had expired. When I asked her how she knew that, she said it was because I should have ticked a box when buying stuff online to avoid calls like that. I told her I never bought my windows online and told her to remove me from their list. Total scam.

I only got one call so far but if I don’t recognise the number I always look it up here first. Over the past couple days, 2 different numbers rang me right after I made a donation to Cancer Research UK and that’s the only place I gave my phone. So, I’m thinking maybe Facebook's selling my info or something.

Got two calls right after each other this morning, but luckily I’d already blocked this number so it only managed one ring before my blocking app stopped it. The area code is from Blackpool, but the actual digits don’t look like any typical local number, so it seems dodgy to me. Better not pick up.

Got two calls from this number back to back earlier today. Thankfully I had it already blocked so it only rang once before my app stopped it. The area code is from Blackpool but the rest of the number looks off, not like any local digits I’m used to. Feels dodgy, best not to pick up.

They've called me a few times trying to sell me a warranty renewal for my windows. When I asked what it was about, they said they'd come check my windows because apparently my 20-year warranty had expired! Thing is, I've only had these windows for 5 years!!

Since this number is from my local area code, I picked up the call on my phone. Like others have said, it’s from a window company. They already had my name and where I live (bit creepy), but I didn’t actually verify my address with them.

Didn’t answer, getting sick of random numbers ringing me. After reading some reviews here, I’ve reported them to the Information Commissioner’s Office. If this number has been pestering you too, I’d suggest doing the same through the ICO website - it’s pretty quick, just a few mins. I can’t share the link here though, the comment box rejects it. The group behind it is Window Warranty NW Ltd, that’s the contact they use on Twitter for setting up free checks.

Got a call from Warranty Northwest, some woman named Jodie saying my Windows warranty was up. Sounds like a total scam since I have no clue when my windows were even installed or how long any warranty would last. She basically admitted she was guessing and kept changing her story. Ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

I can't believe the audacity of these individuals! They've been bothering my elderly grandparents, who are both in their eighties, with constant phone calls in a bid to swindle them out of their hard-earned cash. What's worse is that they even attempt to visit their home, showing an incredible level of persistence. It’s absolutely appalling!

I got a call from a bloke saying he wanted to book a free check-up on my windows since the guarantee had run out. Initially, I was a bit suspicious, but figured it wouldn't hurt to agree. I did think about pulling out, but my missus was sure they wouldn’t bother turning up. A couple of days later, some guy from the firm showed up, did the inspection, then tried to sell me a warranty for £1800. Far too pricey for us, so we declined and he just left with the quote and a report of the inspection.

They fixed my conservatory after the warranty had run out rather than just offering a replacement. The person on the phone was really kind and supportive. I feel some folks just hate any kind of sales calls, but honestly, they can be a real help for people like me and my mum.

Just like before, they couldn’t give me any info about my windows except that the warranty was up. These folks are total scammers and honestly sound like criminals. It's clear they’re just pushing some fake product to make a quick buck.

Got another call from these lot, saying our warranty is running out and offering a free inspection. Sounds fishy - why would they do that unless they want to push some other sales? They couldn’t even say which windows or doors they’d be looking at! This is the second time they’ve rung. Next time, I’m not going to be so polite. Feels like they’re trying to catch my dad off guard when I’m out.

A woman rang me asking the same stuff others mentioned. I had a look at my records and I’m certain I haven’t had my windows done for over a decade. She even wanted to know if I’d be home alone tomorrow. When a bloke phoned later, I told him there was no need to come by.

On Thursday, the 15th of August, I received a staggering nine calls from this number yesterday, and today I've already had two. I've added the number to my blocked contacts, yet somehow they still manage to sneak through. Quite the nuisance, I must say!

Got a call from a company claiming my warranty was up and they'd do a free window check. Was a bit iffy about it so I called back, and a lady picked up but called me by a name that wasn’t mine. Then the same guy rang again, asking why I wasn’t interested in their FREE inspection. Didn’t go down well when I said no, he got pretty pushy.

They try to make you think your windows are no longer under warranty and need inspecting !! Remember, your double glazing is backed by the firm that fitted it, so don’t give any details to these third-party callers. They’re just cold calling to push policies you really don’t require. Best to steer clear. Don’t let them inside your home, otherwise they’ll hard sell you nonstop. Seems like they target the elderly who might be more trusting. Just block their number and if anyone from that company turns up, be firm but polite and don’t let them inside.

I must say, the chap came across as quite clever during his chat. He claimed to possess my name, number, and address, mentioning that his firm's engineers were conducting assessments on UPVC windows in the vicinity to check their condition and would be looking into the manufacturer's warranties. However, when he admitted he didn't have any specifics regarding my windows, it hit me that this was just another cold call. I opted to hang up right then and there. Thankfully, I’ve got Call Guardian installed, and I've now permanently barred his number!

Spoke to a really courteous young guy who said he’d take a look at our windows since apparently they’re over ten years old and not under warranty anymore. He insisted he wasn’t trying to sell us anything, just doing a free inspection, and said he’s not connected to any double glazing firms. But if it’s free and no selling’s involved, how do they actually make money? Honestly, if it looks too good to be true, it usually is!
