Got hit up by one of those Microsoft scam calls. I hardly pick up the phone these days, and when I do, I just stay quiet. Not shouting, just silence works best! Honestly, I've gone as far as unplugging my phone because all the calls I get are dodgy ones. Seriously, Ofcom and the phone companies need to sort this out. They already charge us a fortune for nothing but old copper wires.

A bloke claiming to be from Microsoft rang me up saying there was an issue with my PC. He somehow reckoned I owned 5 Apple computers - weird, right? Kept going on that it wasn’t about actual apples or mangoes or whatever. This Indian guy’s been ringing me loads. Since my EE network is rubbish, I can’t block the number. He even knew my name! Told him to sort himself out and find a real job.

Looks like, from what others have said, it could be one of those fake Microsoft scams. I keep getting dodgy calls from so-called Microsoft people. They’re really annoying now. Somebody called saying they was from Microsoft and claimed my internet provider put a virus on my computer. They kept asking me to log in, so I asked why, and they said it was to "show me the problem." I told them no way, that sounded like a trick to either plant a virus or steal my info. I straight up told them they were just scammers and to quit bothering folks and find a real job.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with Microsoft who said my computer had been hacked and that I’d downloaded harmful files. He wanted me to type something into the search bar so he could "show" me the problem. He said he couldn’t verify his identity via email and warned that my computer would be locked, and the only way to unlock it was to go to Reading in person. He was really pushy about it. Yesterday I got a really annoying call from a number with the same area code, so I was a bit suspicious today. When the phone rang again, I just answered but stayed silent. After a moment, the person on the other end just ended the call.

Got a call from 01252961445 but it was just dead silence on the other end. When I asked who they were, they didn’t say a thing. Ended up hanging up straight away.

Had a couple calls yesterday and then one again at 8:15 this morning. It’s like they’re ramping up as Christmas gets closer! I just ignore them and use the ‘who called me’ service to see who it is - usually confirms it’s something dodgy!

The caller remained silent and terminated the call the moment my answering machine activated. Clearly a scammer trying their luck. Best to block this number immediately.

Got a call at 7:45 on a Saturday morning, and the moment I picked up, they just hung up! Do these folks even take a break or sleep at all?

Got a call early morning from someone claiming to be Microsoft, saying my computer was being hacked and even knew my address. They warned they'd block my computer if I didn't act. After hanging up, I got a bunch more calls back-to-back from these numbers: 0203 876 5849, 01253 468680, and 0191 925 0553, all in like five minutes, but I didn't pick up. It was around half past seven too, which was a bit much!

Ignored the call, no voicemail left. This is the second one I’ve had today, the first was supposedly from Liverpool about a government funding offer. Total SCAM!

Had a call from this woman named Lisa, she claimed to be from Microsoft and asked if I was the primary user of the PC. I wasn’t having any of it, told her off and just ended the call.

Another day, and again some folks with heavy foreign accents ringing me up trying to pull a scam. Honestly, it’s so irritating and feels like harassment at this point. What’s the point of doing such a rubbish job anyway? They should seriously find proper work instead of bothering people all the time!

I received a dodgy phone call claiming to be from Microsoft, saying they were located at some place called ‘Campus 1’ in the UK. However, when I asked for more details, the person on the line was incredibly unhelpful and quite impolite!

Got a call from a woman with a foreign accent claiming she was from Microsoft, warning me that my computer had been hacked. I said I wasn’t buying any of her nonsense, which set her off yelling quite a bit. After a bit of shouting, I managed to say I don’t even use a Microsoft PC, but she just got more hostile. I’m pretty sure I cursed at her before I finally just hung up.

Some bloke from India rang me saying he was with Microsoft. He threatened to lock my PC unless I verified my info straight away. Funny thing is, I'm using that very computer now to write this review! Total con job, and when I kept pressing him about which company he really represented, he was the one who ended the call first.

Loads of people getting these annoying calls are actually digging up info on the scammers themselves, even tracking down their locations. So how come the coppers or phone firms don’t step in and stop this mess? Feels like someone up top might be taking a kickback to look the other way. I spotted one dodgy character from Birmingham on the list - he’s got a fraud conviction too. Just type his name into Google and you’ll see all the dirt. Law enforcement, seriously, time to get your act together!

So this woman with an Indian accent called, saying she was from Microsoft. I told her I didn’t believe her at all. By the time I finished, she rudely told me to get lost!

Just to add on from my previous message... Seriously, these people have no manners at all. They keep calling me even though I've registered my number on the do not call list and told them I'm not interested. Honestly, they're being proper annoying and I'd love to give them a piece of my mind. If any police officers read this, feel free to take action, or charge me with threatening if you must. And the phone companies? Totally useless. If it wasn’t such a hassle to be without a phone these days, I’d have ditched mine ages ago.

Received a call claiming to be from Microsoft, regarding issues with my computer. I found it rather odd since I don't own one. The caller got rather snappy, insisting someone at my address must have one. When I pressed her to reveal who that might be, she simply hung up. Clearly a scam, or potentially something more sinister!

Received a call supposedly from Microsoft regarding my computer. I found it rather odd because I don't actually own one. The caller became rather curt, insisting that someone in my household must have a computer. When I pressed her to identify who it might be, she abruptly hung up. This feels distinctly like a scam, possibly something more sinister.

Got about 4 calls from these sorts of numbers today alone. I told the first one to buzz off, but they just got worse, shouting threats and being proper aggressive. Pretty sure they’re using some kind of app to hide it’s actually coming from somewhere in the sub-continent. Already let the police know about it.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Microsoft, warning me that if I didn’t follow their steps to stop some illegal stuff linked to my email, they’d revoke my "licence". It sounded fishy but they were pretty pushy and scary about it. Definitely seems like a scam.
